Keep your messages short and sweet – nobody wants to read a novel

We all know that we should keep our messages short and sweet, but sometimes it’s hard to do. Especially when we have a lot to say! However, the fact is that nobody wants to read a novel – especially when they’re trying to get some work done or just checking their email inbox.

Keeping your messages short and sweet is one of the best ways to ensure that people will actually read them. Nobody wants to slog through a long, drawn-out message when all they want is a quick update. By keeping your messages concise and to-the-point, you’ll not only grab people’s attention, but you’ll also make it easier for them to respond.

Thank the person for taking the time to write you a message

No matter how short or sweet your message is, always take the time to thank the person who wrote it. This simple act of courtesy goes a long way in making people feel appreciated, and it also helps to build relationships.

When you’re writing a message, always take a moment to think about how you can make it more personal. A simple “thank you” can go a long way in making someone feel appreciated.
