Facebook has been around for over a decade, and during that time, users have shared billions of posts on the social media platform. It’s no wonder that many people have forgotten some of the older posts they’ve shared on their Facebook walls. Thankfully, there’s a way to view all of your old stories in one place without having to scroll through your entire history.
Navigate to the “Activity Log” on Facebook
To view your old Facebook posts, navigate to the “Activity Log” on Facebook. This can be found by clicking on the small triangle in the top right corner of the main Facebook page, and selecting “Activity Log” from the menu.
Once you’re in the Activity Log, you can use the filters on the left side of the page to narrow down the types of posts you’re looking for. For example, you can filter by “Posts,” “Photos,” and more. You can also use the search bar at the top of the Activity Log to search for specific posts. Simply type in a keyword or phrase, and Facebook will show you any matching posts from your activity log.
Select “More” in the menu bar and choose “View As…”
Once you’re in the Activity Log, you can use the filters on the left side of the page to view your posts by date, friends, group, or other criteria. You can also use the “View As” feature to see how your posts look to other people. To do this, select “More” in the menu bar and choose “View As.”
A new window will pop up, and you’ll be able to enter the name of another Facebook user to see their view of your profile. This is a great way to see how much information other people can see about you on Facebook. Keep in mind that the “View As” feature only works for posts that are set to “Public.” If you want to see how a specific post looks to someone who isn’t your friend, you’ll need to change the privacy setting of that post to “Public.”
Select the year you want to view old posts from
Once you’re in the Activity Log, use the filters on the left side of the page to view your posts by date. You can also use the “View As” feature to see how your posts look to other people. To do this, select “More” in the menu bar and choose “View As…”.
From here, select the year you want to view old posts from. This will bring up a list of all the posts you’ve made in that year, including the date and time they were made.
